Tab manager & session saver for Chrome

Keeptab: 86 tabs saved in 8 lists, last backup 2 hours ago
The Keeptab popup: save this window in one click

Sound familiar?

Tabs are where we keep
things for later.

Dozens of tabs open because you might need them later, and your browser slows down.

Chrome crashed, or an update ran, and the tabs you had saved were gone.

You saved that page somewhere. You just can't remember the link, or where.

Close them
without fear.

One click saves every tab of your window into a list and closes them. Your browser breathes again, and everything is one click away when you need it.

  • Save the window, one tab, or the tabs to the left or right
  • Reopen a whole list or a single tab
  • Tab groups come back with their names and colours

New computer?
Your tabs are already there.

Keeptab Sync keeps your lists on every computer you use, in a private folder of your own Google Drive. Uninstall, reinstall, change laptops: you sign in and everything comes back.

  • Every computer, the same listssynced on their own, a few minutes apart
  • Stored in your own Google Drivea hidden folder only Keeptab can open

Chrome crashed?
Your tabs didn't.

Keeptab is built to never lose a tab. Every list is written, and read back, before a single tab closes.

  • A backup every hour30 versions to go back to
  • Crash recoveryyour open tabs are noted every 5 minutes
  • A 30-day trashundo any delete
  • A daily backup file in your Downloadsit survives even an uninstall

Forgot the link?
Find it anyway.

Every saved tab keeps its title, its address and its site icon. Type a word you remember, or narrow it down by date or by site.

  • Search every list at once
  • Today, last 7 days, by month or a custom range
  • Starred lists and tab groups in one tap

Switching tab managers?
Bring every tab with you.

Paste your old tab manager's export (OneTab's format works) or a simple list of links, and every list is back, then protected by the backups above. Keeptab files work too.

  • Paste, import, done
  • Export any time, as JSON or plain text

Your tabs are
your business.

What you save stays in your browser, and in your own Google Drive if you turn on Sync. We never see your tabs, and nothing tracks what you do.

  • No tracking
  • Your tabs are never sent to us
  • No pop-ups begging for a review: one small question, once

Questions

Is Keeptab free?

Yes. Saving, backups, crash recovery, the trash, search and import are free. Keeptab Sync, which keeps your lists on all your computers, is $1.99 a month.

What happens if Chrome crashes?

Keeptab notes your open tabs every 5 minutes. Open Recovery and reopen the whole session, or save it as a list.

I deleted a list by mistake.

It's in the trash for 30 days. Restore it in one click. Hourly backups also let you go back to an earlier version of everything.

What if I uninstall Keeptab or change computers?

With Keeptab Sync, reinstall Keeptab, sign in with the same Google account, and every list comes back. Without Sync, turn on the daily backup file in Settings: Keeptab writes a copy to Downloads/Keeptab that survives an uninstall. Reinstall, import it, and you're back.

Where is my synced data?

In a hidden folder of your own Google Drive that only Keeptab can open. To see it, open Google Drive, then Settings › Manage apps › Keeptab. You can delete it from Keeptab's Settings at any time.

Does uninstalling Keeptab cancel my subscription?

No, and we tell you so. Uninstalling keeps your subscription and your synced lists, so a reinstall or a new computer loses nothing. Right after you uninstall, a page opens with one button to cancel the subscription and erase your lists from Google Drive. You can also do it any time from Settings › Danger zone › Delete my account, which cancels the subscription on the spot and erases everything.

Does it work with Chrome tab groups?

Yes. Saved groups keep their names and colours, and come back as groups when you reopen them.
